The spring 2021 semester parking permits for residential students, student aides, commuter students, handicap commuter students and the Girard Park Circle Parking Tower are available for purchase online or in person starting December 2. Night permits and Graduate Assistant permits details will be announced at a later date. Online permit purchases are a two-step process which require registering a vehicle to an account and then purchasing the permit. All permits will be active January 1 through May 7, 2021.

Commuter Parking Permits are for students who do not live on campus.

The spring 2021 commuter permits may be obtained online or in the Transportation Services office beginning on December 2. Lobby hours and restrictions are listed below.

Commuter parking permits are free but must be obtained every semester in order to make sure all student information is correct and transit services can be planned. Commuter parking is located at Cajun Field. Every vehicle parked at Cajun Field must have an active permit. Bus service is available between Cajun Field and campus. Residential Parking Permits are for students living on campus.

The spring 2021 residential permits may be purchased online or in the Transportation Services office beginning on December 2. Lobby hours and restrictions are listed below. Residential permits are $40 for the semester.

Credit for Spring 2020 Residential Permits

  • Residential students who did not use their $10 credit toward the purchase of their fall ‘20 permit have been provided the option to purchase the spring ‘21 permit using this credit. This is the last opportunity to use the credit. A $30 permit option will show up on your parking portal page if you are eligible. If it does not show as an option and you believe you are entitled to this credit, email geauxpark@louisiana.edu with “Credit Eligibility Question” in the subject line for faster service. Credits toward spring ’21 permits are only available until March 15, 2021.
  • Students eligible for the credit but not going to live on campus may request a refund by sending a request via email including your name and ULID to geauxpark@lousiana.edu with “Spring 2020 Refund Request” in the subject line for faster service. All requests must be received no later than March 15, 2021.
  • To be eligible for the residential $10 credit or refund, a residential student must have lived in university housing for the spring 2020 semester, purchased a parking permit for that semester and have officially checked out of their dorm by March 31, 2020. The deadline to use the $10 credit toward a permit or request a refund is March 15, 2021.

Girard Parking Tower Permits

Girard Parking permits guarantee available parking on floors 3-6 on all class days. Girard Parking Tower permits are $325 per semester. This is not a night permit for parking elsewhere on campus. 

Credit for Spring 2020 Girard Parking Tower Permits

  • Students who purchased a Girard permit for the spring 2020 semester and who did not use their 25% credit toward the purchase of their fall ‘20 permit have been provided the option to purchase the spring ‘21 permit using the credit.  Two Girard options will be available on your parking portal – a full price and a reduced price with the 25% credit applied to the full price. To use a credit, select the lower priced option for “Zone 13/Girard Garage.” The credit option is only available until March 15, 2021.
  • Students eligible for the credit who are not going to use it for spring ’21 may request a refund by sending a request via email including your name and ULID to geauxpark@lousiana.edu with “Spring 2020 Refund Request” in the subject line for faster service. All requests must be received no later than March 15, 2021.
  • To be eligible for the 25% credit or refund, a student must have purchased a Girard Parking Tower parking permit for the spring ‘20 semester. The deadline to use the 25% credit toward a permit or request a refund is March 15, 2021.

Commuter Handicap Permits

  • Students who have previously submitted their state issued handicap credentials to our office will be able to purchase commuter handicap permits online again for the Spring 2021 semester. Students who used their $10 credit from their spring 2020 permit in the fall will see a $40 permit “CHC SP21 Semester” option. Student who did not use their $10 credit will see the a $30 permit “CHS SP21 with Credit” option.
  • Students who have not previously purchased a handicap parking permit with our department may send a scan of their driver’s license, mobility impaired card and placard or vehicle registration for review. Send to geauxpark@louisiana.edu with “Handicap Credentials” in the subject line for quicker service. A confirmation email will be sent within 2 business days with instructions on how to purchase a handicap permit.

Student Aide Permits

Students who work on campus may be eligible to purchase a permit each semester provided their department has submitted their name for the semester. Student Aides who wish to purchase a permit should request their department submit their list to Transportation Services via email geauxpark@louisiana.edu. Student Aide parking permits are available on a very limited basis. Once sold out, these permits will no longer be available. Student Aide permits are $40 for the spring 2021 semester.

All requests must be received no later than March 15, 2021.
  • To be eligible for the $10 credit or refund, a student aide must have purchased a parking permit for the spring 2020 semester. The deadline to use the $10 credit toward a permit or request a refund is March 15, 2021.

Night Permits and Graduate Assistant Permits details will be announced at a later date.

 

Online Purchases:

1. Log in to your ULink account. Click on Campus Services on the left side of the webpage and then Access My Parking Account in the Transportation Services section of the page.

2. Register your vehicle if it is not already in your parking account.

3. Scroll down on the Parking Account Main webpage to select Get Permit and proceed as directed on each page to complete the purchase process.

3. A confirmation of your transaction will be emailed to your university email address. No emails means no permit was issued. Please go back and check your steps.

 

Transportation Services Location and Hours

The Transportation Services office is located in the Olivier Parking Tower at 619 McKinley Street, Suite 100. 

Hours:

December 1-18: Monday – Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

December 19-January 3: Closed for University Holiday Break

January 4-12: Office opens hours Monday – Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Social distancing and masks will be required in the lobby. The small size of our lobby may mean waiting outside the building for a short period of time.
