Cajun Field Parking Update for Thursday & Friday

The Cajun Field parking area located on the West Congress side of the stadium will be not be available for commuter parking Thursday and Friday, February 20 and 21 due to the Mardi Gras festival. Parking at Cajun Field will be available only on the east side of the stadium along Cajun Done Boulevard. Access is available using the West Congress and Cajun Dome Boulevard entrances.
Additional parking areas for students on Thursday and Friday include Blackham Coliseum, Cabbage Patch and limited spaces in the Girard Parking Tower. Blackham Coliseum is located on the northeast corner of Johnston Street and Cajun Dome Boulevard with parking on the west side of the coliseum. Cabbage Patch is the grass lot located south of the intermural fields on the northeast corner of St. Landry Street and Coliseum Road. Commuter parking will also be allowed for free in Girard Parking Tower on the first through third floors for these two days. Space is first come, first serve only on these floors.
All cars parked in all areas of Cajun Field will have to be removed before 5 pm on Friday due to the festival. Any vehicle remaining at Cajun Field at 5 pm will be towed. Regular parking resumes at Cajun Field on Wednesday, February 26.
Bus service will be available at all three locations. The Cajun Field bus stop will operate as usual. The bus pickup at Blackham will be on the Johnston Street side of the lot. Bus pick up at the Cabbage Patch location will be at the corner. Signs indicating the pickup location will be posted at Blackham and Cabbage Patch.
Students are advised to plan for delays by arriving early to allow additional time to find a parking space and getting to the bus pick up location.
Bus Service Changes for Mardi Gras
The bus service will suspend operations at 5 pm on Friday, February 21 due to the Mardi Gras break. On demand shuttle service will be available between Cajun Field, Bourgeois Hall and campus between 7:00 am-6:30 pm on Wednesday, February 26 by calling the bus yard at 482-5305. Full bus service will resume at 7:00 am on Thursday, February 27.
