UL Lafayette will host the For Our Future Conference presented by the University of Louisiana System on Thursday, Feb. 14, and Friday, Feb. 15. This event will bring guests to campus from the eight other universities in the UL System. Changes to some faculty, staff, and student parking areas will be needed to accommodate conference attendees. Designated parking for the conference will be on the paved portion of Zone 15/EK Long lot from 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, through 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15.

Residential students should park in their primary parking areas and only use zone 15/EK Long if their permitted lots are full. Vehicles must be parked on the gravel side of the EK Long lot before 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 13.

Faculty and staff with permits for Zone 15/EK Long lot will park on the first and second floors of the Girard Park Circle Parking Tower Feb. 14-15. If you have an active permit, you will not pay for the time your car is parked in the garage for these two dates only. Officers will issue citations to vehicles parked in the garage that do not have a permit or have not paid to park.

Overflow parking for all other faculty and staff zones during this time will be Blackham Coliseum. Shuttle service is available daily from 7 a.m. to 10:45 p.m. The shuttle is a continuous loop with pick up and drop off at signage close to the Red Zone at Cajun Field and in front of the Student Union.

Pay To Park parking in the Girard Parking Tower will be available on a minimal basis for these two days. Individuals who normally pay to park should park at Cajun Field and utilize the transit system. View the bus schedule at https://park.louisiana.edu/transit-information/daily-bus-shuttle-schedule.

Please allow extra time for parking when arriving to or departing from campus. Parking will return to normal at the conclusion of the conference at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15. Faculty, staff, and residential students may resume parking in their permitted areas.
