The following Fall 2018 semester parking permits will expire 12/20/2018:

  • ALL residential student permits (Green/ 22R, Orange/23R & 24R and Yellow/29R)
  • ALL commuter permits (Zone 13/Girard Parking Tower and 18COM)
  • Adjunct permits
  • Student Aid permits in all zones

 

The Spring 2019 parking permits for residential students, commuter students, student aides, graduate assistants and adjuncts will be available to purchase online or at the Office of Transportation Services beginning Tuesday, November 27, 2018.

Residential student permits:

Students living on campus should purchase a permit according to where they will live for the Spring 2019 semester. Permit prices are $40 for the Spring 2019 semester. If you will have a housing change between semesters, do not purchase your permit online. Bring a housing form indicating your change so that the correct permit may be purchased.

  • Green permit: Baker, Bonin, Corona, Harris or Huger Halls 
  • Yellow permit: Conference Center 
  • Orange permit: Legacy Park or Cajun Village 


Commuter student permits:

Students not living on campus have three options for parking: 

  • Cajun Field: Each student is required to obtain a Commuter Parking Permit every semester to park at Cajun Field. There is no fee associated with this permit. 
  • Girard Park Circle Parking Tower: Floors 3-6 require a permit. Permit price is $300 for the semester. Over 900 spaces will be available for purchase this semester. 
  • Girard Park Circle Parking Tower: Floors 1 & 2 are hourly parking.

 

Student aide permits: 

Student aides no longer require a letter from a department as proof of employment as a student aide. This information is now available to our department via Banner and is updated each morning.

  • Student aide permit options for the spring 2019 semester include:
  • Zone 36 – located at the corner of St. Mary and Brooke Ave: $40/permit. There are a limited number of permits available in this lot due to the construction of the new university facilities/bus building. Permits are sold on a first come, first serve basis. This lot is shared with student aide permits parking permits. **available at 12 PM 11/27/2018 online and in our office**
  • Girard Park Circle Parking Garage/Zone 13 – located on the main campus; $300/permit *guaranteed parking every class day*
  • 18PER – located at the Blackham Coliseum with shuttle service to/from the main campus: $40/permit
  • 18COM – parking at Cajun Field with bus service to/from the main campus and Bourgeois Hall: $0/permit *must be renewed each semester*

 

Graduate Assistant permits:

Graduate Assistants no longer require a list sent from the graduate office as proof of graduate assistant status. This information is now available to our department via Banner and is updated each morning.\

  • Graduate Assistant permit options for the spring 2019 semester include:
  • Zone 36 – located at the corner of St. Mary and Brooke Ave: $40/permit. There are a limited number of permits available in this lot due to the construction of the new university facilities/bus building. Permits are sold on a first come, first serve basis. Adjuncts no longer require a letter from your department as proof of adjunct classification. This information is now available to our department via Banner and is updated each morning.

Adjunct permit options for the spring 2019 semester include:

  • Zone 33– located behind the International Studies building on Brooke Ave: $40/permit.
  • Zone 32 – located behind Old Tyme Grocery on Brooke Ave: $40/permit.
  • Girard Park Circle Parking Garage/Zone 13 – located on the main campus; $300/permit *guaranteed parking every class day*
  • 18PER – located at the Blackham Coliseum with shuttle service to/from the main campus: $40/permit
  • 18COM – parking at Cajun Field with bus service to/from the main campus and Bourgeois Hall: $0/permit *must be renewed each semester*

Online purchases: 

  • Log in to ULINK . 
  • Once logged in, click on Campus Services on the left side of the page
  • Select access your parking account in the Transportation section of the page to launch to your parking account 
  • Select ‘Get Permit’ on the parking account main webpage to view spring 2019 semester information and links.

In-Person Purchases: 

  • Location and hours listed below. 
  • Payment methods accepted: credit card, debit card, Cajun Cash and money order. 
  • Bring your school ID and vehicle registration. 

 

Handicap Permit Purchases: 

  • May only be made in the Transportation Service office. Location and hours listed below. 
  • Bring your current state issued placard, mobility card, student ID and vehicle registration. 
  • Permits are $40 per semester.

The Office of Transportation Services is located in the Olivier Parking Tower at 619 McKinley St., next to the UL Credit Union.

Office Hours:
Monday – Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. 
Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
