Parking closures and bus service suspension announced - Zones 2 and 17 closing on Friday - Parking zones two and 17 will be closed for Mardi Gras events as of 2 p.m. on Feb. 24 through Feb. 28. All vehicles must be moved out of these zones no later than 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24. Students living in the Conference Center and staying on campus for the break should park in zone 29R. This zone is located across the street behind the Conference Center. Contact the Office of Transportation Services with questions at 482-6858 or geauxpark@louisiana.edu.    

Limited Parking at Cajun Field Friday - A portion of the parking at Cajun Field will be blocked off for Le Festival de Mardi Gras a’ Lafayette. The parking area of Cajun Field between West Congress Street and the north end zone of the football stadium will be blocked off the evening of Thursday, Feb. 23. No parking will be allowed in this section on Friday, Feb. 24.

There will be limited parking available at Cajun Field on the east side closest to the athletic facility. Cars parked in this area will have to be moved before 5 p.m. on Friday. Any vehicle remaining at Cajun Field at 5 p.m. will be towed. Regular parking at Cajun Field resumes Wednesday, March 1. 

Additional parking with regular bus service will be available at Blackham Coliseum this Friday. Parking and bus service may also be available at the Cabbage Patch if the ground is dry. The Cabbage Patch is an open grass field located at the northeast corner of Coliseum Road and St. Landry Street.

No bus service after 5 p.m. Friday - The Office of Transportation Services will suspend bus service at 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24 for the Mardi Gras break. On demand night shuttle service on campus will be available from 6 p.m.-11:45 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1. Call the bus yard at 482-5305 to make arrangements. Full bus service will resume at 7 a.m. on Thursday, March 2. Contact the Office of Transportation Services with questions at 482-6858 or geauxpark@louisiana.edu.    

Parking options for Mardi Gras Invitational softball tournament - Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball will host the Mardi Gras Invitational from Feb. 23-26. Cajun Field will not be available for general parking for the Saturday and Sunday games on Feb. 25-26. Limited alternate parking will be available at fraternity row, sorority row and the print center. Golf cart shuttle service will be available from these lots to the softball field.
